Sep 25, 2019Utica Comets President Robert Esche announced today the details for the two-day Oktoberfest plaza party that will kick off opening weekend for the Utica Comets on October 18 and 19 at the Adirondack Bank Center. The party will start at 4pm on Friday, October 18, with a ceremonial keg tap, and continue until puck drop on Friday before reopening on Saturday from 3-7pm.
Comets Season Ticket Members are able to purchase presale single day or weekend passes for $10 or $15, respectively. Presale tickets for non-STMs sell for $13/$18. Ticket prices will increase on the day of the event. Ticket purchasers will also have access to exclusive games, contests, activities, and prizes.
There will be music and an array of activities across the Adirondack Bank Center plaza on both Friday and Saturday. Registration and preliminary rounds will take place at 72 Tavern, with the semifinals and finals on the main stage on the plaza. Fans can also compete in Masskrugstemmen, aka a stein-holding contest, and other carnival-style games.
On Saturday afternoon, your full 2019-2020 Utica Comets roster will process around the plaza as a team to kick off opening weekend and thank the fans for their support. Fans will also have the chance to mingle with Audie, the Clinton Comets and the new 2019-20 Sitrin Comettes.
