FAQ & Updates from the Adirondack Bank Center
Oct 26, 2020Firstly, we hope that all Utica Comets, Utica City FC and Utica College fans have stayed healthy and safe during these times. We are sure we speak for everyone when we say that we miss having a full house at the Adirondack Bank Center! We understand that some of you have raised some important questions about the impending seasons at the Adirondack Bank Center, and we want to help clarify some of these as well as shed some light on the 2020-21 seasons.
What does the future of this hockey/soccer season look like regarding fans?
At this time, the Adirondack Bank Center is looking forward to welcoming Comets, Utica City, and Utica College fans back for our respective 2020-21 seasons. We have the utmost confidence that our fans will be able to return to the building to watch live sports this season and have been planning accordingly for the past couple of months. We are working closely with the NHL, AHL, MASL and state officials while we create league-wide reopening plans.
Unlike the NHL, the AHL does not have a league-wide TV contract, which makes playing without fans a moot concept. While we have not yet received any direction on what the capacity will be when we reopen, we have been working on multiple plans at differing capacities that keep our fans’ safety as our top priority.
How will we be kept safe at the Adirondack Bank Center during events?
Great question! Safety is the top priority for all our fans, players and staff. Since the start of the COVID-19 pandemic, Rick Redmond, GM of the Adirondack Bank Center, has championed a new health and safety division of arena operations, with a primary focus on testing, sanitizing, cleaning, PPE, social distancing, temperature checks and more. The Adirondack Bank Center is currently open, and we have been practicing these safety measures with our youth, junior and college tenants. As part of our reopening plan, the Adirondack Bank Center included several new policies and practices that would be implemented to keep patrons safe and comfortable while attending events.
What is the latest update on the Toby Keith concert?
The Toby Keith concert has been officially rescheduled for Friday, May 28, 2021 at the Adirondack Bank Center. We are eagerly anticipating this date and encourage those interested in attending to purchase tickets before they sell out. Tickets purchased for previous dates will be honored in May.
What if I have more questions regarding my account or tickets previously purchased?
Our ticketing staff is working diligently to answer any questions you may have about your account or tickets. We are working primarily over the phone at this time and encourage anyone with questions to reach out at 315-790-9070 so we can be of help.
We appreciate your patience with us as we work diligently to keep Utica’s fans safe and healthy. As we receive more direction from New York State as well as our leagues, we will be sure to keep you all apprised in real time.
