COMETS WRAP UP PRESEASON SCHEDULE AGAINST DEVILS
Sep 29, 2018The Utica Comets wrap up their preseason series against the Binghamton Devils tonight at 7:05 p.m. at the Floyd L. Maines Veterans Memorial Arena.
Blake Pietila netted two goals and Michael McLeod added two assists as the Devils topped the Comets 4-2 in last night’s preseason battle. Reid Boucher and Jagger Dirk found the back of the net for the Comets. Richard Bachman stopped 27 of the 31 shots he faced.
COMETS PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Kole Lind– Vancouver’s 2017 second round pick begins his first full professional season after a short six game stint with the Comets in which he notched an assist.
Zack MacEwen– The big forward led all Comets’ rookies with 33 points (10-23-33) in 66 games last season and is poised for a breakout season on a stacked Comets roster.
DEVILS PLAYERS TO WATCH:
Eric Tangradi - The AHL veteran joins the Devils after four seasons in the Detroit Red Wings organization. Tangradi put up big numbers last season, scoring 64 points (31-33-64) in 74 games with the Grand Rapids Griffins.
Yegor Sharangovich - The Belorussian forward picked up 12 points in 47 games with Dinamo Minsk in the KHL. He was drafted in the Fifth Round, 141st overall of the 2018 NHL Entry Draft.
