Tonight’s Game: The Utica Comets battle the Rochester Americans. Puck drop is at 7 p.m.
Last Game: Reid Boucher returned from injury with a hat trick and led the way as the Utica Comets skated to a 5-2 road victory over the Syracuse Crunch on Friday night at the War Memorial. Kole Lind and Carter Bancks also scored for Utica. Zane McIntyre made 21 saves in the win.
Head-to-Head: This is the third contest between the Comets and Amerks this season. The two teams have split the series so far. Rochester won the most recent matchup 6-0 back on November 2. Reid Boucher and Tage Thompson are tied for the series lead with three points apiece.
Scouting the Americans: Rochester comes in with a record of 9-3-1-2 and sits in first place in the North Division. They most recently topped the Cleveland Monsters 3-2 in overtime last night. Tage Thompson and J.S. Dea lead the offense with 12 points apiece. Andrew Hammond is the leading netminder with a record of 5-1-1, a 2.92 goals-against average, and a .892 save percentage.
