2005 Elite Team Lands Utica College Coach

Feb 18, 2016The Utica Jr. Comets Elite program is excited to announce that Dave Clausen, Head Coach of the Utica College Women’s team, will be the head coach of the 2005 Jr. Comets Elite team. Dave brings a wealth of coaching knowledge to the Jr. Comets Elite program as he is closing out his 15th season as the head coach for the UC Women’s team. Clausen, 2 time ECAC West Coach of the Year, will continue to focus on the overarching goal of the Jr. Comets Elite program; to continually develop the areas top players at the quickest rate possible.
The 2005 Elite team will play a premier schedule that includes top tier 1 and tier 2 teams. Players on the team will also get to take advantage of weekly power skating sessions, two full-ice practice slots per week, SportTesting, the Utica Comets Mentorship Program, Elite tournament invitations, and much more throughout the season.
Tryout information for the 2005 Jr. Comets Elite team is as follows:
Monday, March 7th, 2016 at 5:00-6:30pm Utica Memorial Auditorium
Tuesday, March 8th, 2016 at 6:40-8:10pm Utica Memorial Auditorium
Tryouts will be FREE of charge. If you did not play with the Utica Jr. Comets Elite or Mohawk Valley Youth Hockey this past season, then you will need to bring a completed New York State Player Financial Release before you can participate on the ice.
