Comets Sign Current AHL Plus/Minus Leader

Nov 2, 2016Utica Comets Director of Hockey Operations Pat Conacher has announced that the club has signed defenseman Colby Robak to an AHL standard player contract (SPC).
Robak, 26, started the season with the Stockton Heat and recorded five points (0-5-5), six penalty minutes, and a +8 rating in six games. His plus-8 rating is tied with three other players for the AHL lead for plus/minus. The 2011-12 AHL All-Star has collected 138 points (35-103-138) in 376 career American Hockey League games with the Rochester Americans, San Antonio Rampage, Norfolk Admirals, and Stockton Heat.
The 6-foot-3, 194-pound defenseman was drafted in the 2nd round (46th overall) by the Florida Panthers in the 2008 NHL Entry Draft. He has appeared in 47 NHL games with the Florida Panthers and the Anaheim Ducks, and has collected four assists and 25 penalty minutes.
