COMETS ANNOUNCE ROSTER MOVES
Oct 29, 2019Utica, N.Y. – Vancouver Canucks General Manager Jim Benning announced today that the club has recalled defenseman Ashton Sautner from the Comets and defenseman Oscar Fantenberg has been loaned to the Comets on a conditioning stint. Additionally, defenseman Mitch Eliot has been assigned to the Comets.
Sautner, 25, has suited up for four games with the Comets this season, tallying one assist. He has appeared in 22 career NHL games and recorded three assists.
Fantenberg has yet to play for the Canucks this season. He was originally signed by the Canucks on July 1. The 27-year-old split the 2018-19 season between the Kings (2-1-3 in 46 games) and Flames (0-1-1 in 15 games). In two NHL seasons, the 6-0, 206-pound defenseman has recorded 13 points (4-9-13) in 88 games. He also has one assist in seven Stanley Cup playoff games.
Eliot dressed in three games with the Kalamazoo Wings during his stint.
